X S GOLD angled in and chased between horses, steadied in tight off heels midway on the second turn, came out in the stretch and rallied under urging to get up in the final stride and give Desormeaux 6000 career victories. MADAKET SUNSET had speed outside a rival then angled in and set the pace inside, dueled along the rail on the backstretch, inched away on the second turn, kicked clear and held on well but was caught in the final strides. DON'T BLAME JUDY saved ground stalking the pace, came out into the stretch and edged a rival for third. GONE TO TOWN chased along the inside, cut the corner into the stretch, continued inside and was edged for the show.
